Exciting Development in Anaphylactic Treatments

If you don’t already follow Gina Clowe’s Allergy Moms blog, do so! While you’re at it, sign up for her newsletter. Her site is the most comprehensive and up-to-date that I have found regarding developments and issues in the food allergy world.

It was in her newsletter that I found out about a new product in development called an “EpiCard”. It is an injectible epinephrine in the shape and size of a credit card and approximately the same thickness as a Blackberry. It won’t be available for a long time yet, but reading about its development was exciting and intriguing. Check out Gina’s interview with the developers here.

Just out of curiosity: do you think this shape and size would be an improvement over the “pen” shape and design?
